I’ll be presenting a visual talk about my recent trip to Jablonec nad Nisou, Czech Republic — one of the world’s historic centers of bead and glassmaking. The presentation includes original photos and video from local factories and studios, along with an overview of traditional techniques like lampworking, hand pressing, and machine production.

Whether you’re a maker, collector, or simply curious about how beads are made, this is a behind-the-scenes look at a fascinating craft tradition that continues to influence contemporary jewelry today. Each talk includes a Q&A and a display of Czech beads and jewelry.
