Labradorite earns its reputation. This stone shifts from deep amber to teal to gold depending on the light — and the beadwork is built to move with it, not compete with it.
This pendant is structural, meaning the elements don't just surround the stone — they sit on top of it. Every element is hand-stitched: the layered bezel, the surface work, the crystal and pearl clusters, the edging. The focal cluster on the shoulder pulls the iridescent blue flash out of the labradorite and amplifies it.
The techniques in this piece are ones I developed and have taught to other beaders. This is an original design.
