This piece has three distinct elements, each built separately and joined by hand.
The stone is purple flash labradorite — rarer than the more common blue-green flash, with a deep iridescence that shifts depending on the light. The bezel is hand-stitched in gold and iridescent green Delicas, finished along the base with pink cup chain for a clean metallic line. Above it sits a structural crown: an original design worked in Swarovski crystals, pearls, and seed beads in magenta, purple, blue, and gold — layered and stitched into a three-dimensional form that rises off the stone. Below, a lucite opal teardrop drop in a gold setting catches the warm tones in the beadwork.
The strand is hand-stitched as well — Swarovski crystals and pearls in green, blue, and purple, built to wear with this piece specifically. I finished in a French embroidery technique called purl pearl to give it a clean edge.
Everything is hand-stitched. This is an original design.
