The focal for this piece was made by a Russian artist who presses real flowers into acrylic, suspending them mid-bloom. Pink florals, white sprigs, dried stems — all sealed under a clear surface, set against a deep blue ground.
The beadwork builds on what's already there. Various sizes, colors, and textures of seed beads and Czech accents surround the focal, chosen to pull the magenta and blue out of the flowers. The edge is magenta soutache cord — a deliberate choice to frame the piece the way a mat frames a painting. Leaf-shaped Czech beads sit at the crown. Crystal and opal-toned drops fall from the lower edge.
