Labradorite earns its reputation. This stone shifts from deep teal to gold depending on the light — and the beadwork is built to move with it, not compete with it.
This pendant is structural, meaning the elements don't just surround the stone — they sit on top of it. Every element is hand-stitched: the layered bezel, the surface work, the crystal and pearl clusters, the edging. The warm copper tones in the beadwork pull the gold out of the stone; the focal cluster on the shoulder catches the blue-green flash and amplifies it.
The techniques in this piece are ones I developed and have taught to other beaders. This is an original design.
